Business Development Manager
The Role:
We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager with a strong focus on driving growth across our platform and service offerings, delivering against agreed targets. As a key member of the sales team, you will work collaboratively with internal teams to identify and develop new business opportunities while also expanding our reach within the existing customer base. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of aligning market needs with our comprehensive solutions, working with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes, maximise market reach, and achieve revenue growth.
The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end sales process for our core services, with deal values typically ranging from £50,000 to £1,500,000 and sales cycles lasting between 3 to 12 months.
You will be responsible for:
- Identifying, researching and evaluating high-potential leads that align with our qualification criteria.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed billing targets across both our different service offerings.
- Proactively reach out to prospective customers and nurture leads, consultatively sell our solutions, and build strong, lasting relationships and brand advocates.
- Ensure that all communication is tracked and managed through the CRM system in place.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders to drive business outcomes and maximise billings growth, whilst also ensuring customer satisfaction. Contributing to our net promoter score (NPS).
- Generate and present reports to the business on pipeline opportunities, billings forecasts and customer satisfaction as required.
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. monthly/quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) communicating the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to stakeholders.
- Working with the marketing team, assisting with the preparation and delivery of persuasive presentations and proposals, in order to win new business and retain existing clients through the formal proposal, tendering and bidding processes.
- Provide a smooth, efficient and informed handover to the operations department upon contractual agreement of services procured.
- Ensure that contractual documentation is understood, agreed and signed prior to handover to operations and work commencing.
- Identify and engage with potential partners and strategic alliances that align with our product and service objectives, negotiating agreements to expand our market presence.
- Cover account management responsibilities as required.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, where appropriate, to develop solutions that meet evolving customer needs and strengthen our service offerings.
- Continuously evaluate industry trends, conduct market analysis and analyse customer feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing and diversifying our product and service offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine our offerings, develop go-to-market strategies and create compelling value propositions for both product and service offerings.
You’ll bring the following to our team:
- Proven experience within a business development capacity within a software development or technology environment, with a proven track record of delivering against set targets.
- Familiarity with customer-centric approaches to product and service development.
- Experience utilising CRM software such as Synergist or HubSpot.
Salary
- £40,000 – £60,000 + OTE (up to 100% of base salary)
