Account Manager

The Role: 

As an Account Manager you will act as the primary business contact for clients and be responsible for their satisfaction. You will be a bridge between the client and illumo digital, facilitating successful work and fostering positive relationships externally and internally.

You will be responsible for: 

  • To work closely with the Director of Sales and the Commercial Team to produce effective business development and account management strategies, identifying revenue opportunities and managing the customer and the internal illumo digital teams to maximise those opportunities
  • Works to establish strong relationships with clients through proactive account management – regular meetings, updates, focussed communications, and detailed understanding of their organisation 
  • Responsible for client compliance
  • Reviews all major deliverables (strategic brief, functional spec, technical spec. etc) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met
  • Works closely with the project team on new work and maintains continuous knowledge of project status, identifying potential issues and opportunities
  • Facilitates communication between the client and technical team, providing strong representation for both, managing expectations effectively
  • Supports and empowers the client within the software development process by ensuring transparency and clarity, including ‘translating’ technical process or product information
  • Ensures that records are kept on-system of all interactions with clients and ensures rigorous detail is maintained with regard to work carried out
  • Produces monthly reports of billable work for clients and has knowledge at all times of the status of project work and support contracts
  • Takes an active role in coordinating, documenting and delivering client training, with support from the technical team

You’ll bring the following to our team: 

    • Previous experience working closely with clients, managing accounts and understanding client businesses
    • An understanding of project management practices
    • Commercial awareness with regard to costing of projects and their business impact
    • Experience working in web development and/or IT industries
    • Familiarity with software development

Salary

  • £30,000 – £40,000 + Commission
